Do you see ageism still being a problem in 10-15 years in our industry? If so, what do you think are some good exit plans that don’t involve doing mediocre work in-house?
Coming from Consulting (3.5 YOE). Recently got an offer at a $3B Single Family Office. Very lean team working across all stages of investing but seems to be focused on growth / later stage private investing. Compensation is lower than expected ($130k all in). Great culture, really like the people. Coming from consulting, is this a no brainer take the job or should I be reconsidering my options? Also, what are some exit opportunities I can expect later down the road?
Have an interview with Google for the performance Management process design analyst position. Any insight on questions I may be asked, things I should prepare to answer?
Hi all. I signed an offer with PwC for an entry level position out of college. However, it wasn’t in the practice that I wanted and 2 weeks ago, I got an offer from another big four in the practice that I want. Frankly, I want to start off at PwC and was wondering if it’s possible to leverage the offer that I got and switch to a similar practice at PwC. What do y’all think?
I’m on 1 year OPT, which ends July 2019 and currently in a position that does not sponsor. What’s the latest time to be employed by Deloitte/ PwC to ensure my H1-b application is submitted on time?
Have an offer as an Associate Director at equivalent comp (currently a manager). Role seems interesting.
Not Familiar with delineation between SM / AD / D. AD is new to me. Can anyone shed any light on this? Thanks.
Folks is Deloitte submitting nominations for H1B, are there opportunities opening up for Sr.Cons onsite?
Talking with an AI startup for an exit to a tech director level role - anyone have recommendations on how to assess comp/equity/risk etc for a startup? Haven’t worked in the startup space before so I don’t know a ton about evaluating….
How often do you say "I feel like" when starting a sentence? I've caught myself saying it all the time. It's amazing how outspoken yet non-committal millennials are.
Nandos is the bestest!
D's in advisory. What should I be doing to be proactive about internal initiatives/eminence. All other requirements for strong performance seems clear. Want to make sure I'm well rounded
expected turning in my badge and laptop to feel a bit bittersweet... but it feels pretty plain old sweet 👋 👋 👋
Does anyone feel like consulting leaves them totally isolated? I've lost touch with most of my non-consulting friends and don't know how to find new ones

I like to have sitcoms on while I work during the day for background noise. 1. Is this normal? and 2. What are some good sitcoms you recommend? I’ve seen all seasons of: Friends, HIMYM, Parks and Rec, The Office
I had a hard time sleeping due to probably drinking coffee at 10pm...I went downstairs at 430 to drink hot water since I was also coughing and accidentally poured myself coffee from the keurig and am kind of offended lol.
What jobs should someone with 3 years of management/strategy consulting experience, focus on supply chain, but also some retail strategy and PE experience, apply to?
I know other firms have staffing models where consultants themselves “bid on” or apply to different projects. How feasible is such a model at CV? So maybe after 6-9 month tenure, people bid on projects based on preference/PD goals, get selected based on availability/expertise, and if they don’t get staffed on choice of project, then they get assigned by the staffing team. What do folks think?
Since no one is hiring junior writers, how about someone take me on as a freelancer or intern?
