Was a corporate analyst and recently accepted a job as an auditor for the state/government. Can this role have any complications if in the future I try to get back in the private sector or corporate finance?

Not 100% sure but I think it could be an asset. Working within government gives you a unique perspective.

You learn the policies, rules, bureaucracy and ways of working inside & out. You build relationships and understand those dynamics better. You learn tips, tricks, and hacks to make yourself as efficient as possible. All of that knowledge gives you an advantage compared to those without first-hand experience with government.

Don’t know what type of complications you’re referring to, but it depends on what you want to do back in the private sector. If the question is will it make it more difficult to get back in the answer is it depends on whether your gov’t experience has value for your potential employer (like are they a government contractor or want to do bus with the government). Not a ton of people in industry have government experience so I would message it as an asset.
