Was anyone else here considered an "essential worker" during 2020? I feel like I'm still recovering from that year!

Moved from US to Europe and find the inefficiency and disorganization at agency very frustrating. Anyone else go through this? Any advice besides increased drinking?

Excluding the virus, why can't we go back to normal after this? There are plenty of discussions about how things will be different, but almost none asking why they don't have to be.

Our first miscarriage at 6 weeks and we are overwhelmed by grief. I don’t know how we’re to go through each day now, knowing we have lost our little one. I’m not sure how we’re supposed to try again. There is no way I can go through this loss a second time. I’m not as strong as you all on this channel, you keep trying. I’m in awe.

I’ve suffered from workaholism for a long time. Thanks to a lot of great self help books and therapy, I’m no longer putting work on a pedestal and I’m spending a lot more time on self care and my marriage. But, unfortunately, I am now getting withdrawals, because my body is used to the daily adrenaline of throwing myself into work. It’s this terrible feeling of like anguish/unease in my gut, but I don’t have anything I’m worried about- it’s like my body wants to find something to worry about.

Anyone here take classes for meditation? I've tried so hard to get into it but I keep falling asleep or getting distracted. Used Calm, Headspace and Oak apps before.

Hello! I’m only about 4 weeks pregnant, so super early. I am about to go on vacation and thankfully did a quick search on some “dos and donts” for the first trimester. I am v disappointed to see I shouldn’t do saunas and hot tubs as my vacation was really planned to be all relaxation. I just wanna say that my head feels better since I take lion's mane extract. I stopped zoning out, I have less narrations in my head simultaneously. I can actually do tasks on almost time. If someone wants to try, it's mandatory to take vitamin c with it. It's a life changer for me. I wanted to share it.

Tips for just getting started, with the day especially, or even just a bad task later on after a few productive hours? I can have a stack of billables to do, but if it isn’t truly urgent, it’s just like a giant mental wall preventing me from getting things done. Medicine doesn’t help. It’s like I need the fear of god in me to get anything done and the moment I’m not scared of getting fired, I just... can’t. Things are OK at 2 am for some reason though.
