Was anyone here a bad student growing up and is killing it now, professionaly?

Associate 1, did you self diagnose? I'm thinking I may have some form of something and it's kind of affecting my job

No. I went to a Psychiatrist who prescribed a test for me. It took a almost 6 months from first visit to the script but it’s worth it

Well before I go in for the day, but yes. But I have a prescription

Same but never took it for work. Does it give you headaches/light headed/not hungry/over talkative. Haven’t taken my XR since college

It’s great for work. And side affects are worth the outcome

Thanks for the info. Anyway, yes I’m a later bloomer and although early in my career, have 100x more drive/better work ethic than my friends who did not attend non targets like me. I have a burning drive and a healthy chip on my shoulder. What is unfortunate is that target students skip a lot of the bs non targets go through in terms of getting where you want to be. More often then not you need to land a job outside of banking for a year or two, lateral to IB just to get into PE. But by the time you lateral to IB it is truly amazing how much you stick out as a top bucket analyst in terms of work output and maturity.
