I used to leave my house at 7am and get home around 10pm while working and going to grad school. There were also a few times in college while on “break” I’d go to my restaurant job at 7am work until 5pm, then go babysit from 6pm to 2am. In accounting, I’ve done several 9am to midnight, but that’s where I max out.
Worked 34-36 hours straight three times in one week. Worked all day Saturday, Saturday night, and Sunday. Slept Sunday night. Worked Monday and slept Monday night. Worked all day Tuesday, Tuesday night, and Wednesday. Slept Wednesday night. Worked all day Thursday, Thursday night, and Friday. Slept Friday night.

All the people saying 25 hours... That's more than a day Also, why are you still in PA?! I hear these stories and am like no way is this really what's happening. Then people are like "YES WAY. I last breathed a full breath 39 hours ago. Reality has dissolved. Time is an illusion. I no longer know the caress of a fresh breeze, or crave human touch. Sleep beckons, but extensions wait for no man (or woman) "

I'm not in PA. 🤷🏼♂️
I’ve done 80 hours for a month immediately followed by 100 for another month for several years in a row. Do not recommend, your health (mental and physical) will decline and you will age rapidly. The damage is mostly irreversible. But it’s ok, we stuffed the partners’ pockets with our life
They get paid well which really helps because a lot of the battle when working such long hours is the resentment and anger that causes a toll on you (I.e. they should’ve staffed us better etc.)
72 hours straight in Afghanistan. Essentially running on autopilot
Thanks for your service!
Around the clock, 24 hours, few times but it has happened,,,
25 hours

I've done a couple of 24s. Giving a consumer products company a MW, they frantically tried to remediate some key processes right at YE, we tried to retest it. Nightmare.
Nope. That’s when you tell the client they aren’t filing on time.
30 straight. I was young and naive
15 at most. These people saying 24 hours spent the last 10 of those 24 just staring at a screen doing nothing

Nope. But I did find significant errors in some of my work.
All-nighters a couple times, worst experience was leaving at 6am to work in office with team 2 hours away at 8, left at 7pm to make an appointment with a wedding vendor at 8, left there at 9 and got fast food on the way home, worked from 10pm til 7am at which point I took 30 min to drive fiancée to airport for a weekend trip, back online at 7:30 and worked till 10pm that night. After that I ordered the greasiest food I could and was asleep by 11
Report deadlines for two deals and then a management meeting the following Monday that we hadn’t prepped yet for (back in the days of flying for meetings). General cluster all around
Had a few times over 50 hours in road construction. I was on days and nights....this was 10 years ago. I'd catch a few hours of sleep in my truck between phase changes and stay on the clock because I was on the job site.
When I see the payrolls of what some union workers earn an hour after 4 years of apprenticeships…i ask myself if accounting was worth it
70-80 a week for three and half month straight
25 hours
20 hours and then home for four hours then back for client meetings again.
About 18 hours. Maybe half a dozen times over 25 years of work
32 hours - several years ago as a senior. Sunday 9am start and client filed 5pm Monday evening. I hated that client but loved the team.

23 hours while in India
20 hours. Went home for a nap at 4 am and went back in after a couple hours.
21 hours, started at 8am finished at 5am, slept for a bit and went back to work.. this was right before tax deadline. Grueling and takes a toll on your body.
