Hi! I work in an OIG. What other roles within the government would be an easy transition from auditing, as a 13? For background I worked as a manager at a Big 4 in Risk/Internal Controls and a smaller firm auditing contracts and grants.

How is the WLB @ MBBs (generalist BA at Mck specifically) compared to Big 4 strategy/PE due diligence?

I‘ve read for those that want to be in consulting, going B4 to MBB is beneficial career-wise. I’m not absolutely sure I want to be in consulting & don’t know if going through the interview process for MBB is worth the stress/time (with the very limited energy/time I do have I would honestly rather focus on getting into tech if anything)

In the process of being promoted @B4 but I don’t like the people I work for and I’m on the project from hell. The promo has taken so long that I’ve looked elsewhere despite it being my 2nd promo in 3 years. I haven’t had much traction until this past week where I was approached by 4 recruiters with really compelling roles (including FAANG). I know it doesn’t hurt to talk to them but am I an ass for excepting the promo while continuing to look/possibly exiting in the near future?

Hello! I’m currently a Administrative assistant now working at a major medical system in Baltimore. I’ve previously worked for 10 years as a medical assistant in a variety of specialties and primary care. Lately, I’ve been feeling a bit stuck as to my next step. Part of me want to go into management, another part is saying go get your RN, and the other is saying go into Social Work. I’m all over the place. Any ideas? Is it weird that I feel less technically knowledgeable after a year and a half of audit than when I graduated? I just started a technical accounting job, and there are glaring gaps in my knowledge of basic stuff I knew during college. I just never saw it in audit.
