I think I joined consulting because I have commitment issues - scared to commit to a specific industry or area Now I’m looking to leave consulting but I get cold feet every time a role seems too “niche” Interviewing with a great firm, the role is definitely up my alley in terms of skill set, culture, pay, etc. Any advice to help me not be a runaway bride?
What would you say in a follow up email on a job offer decision for which you’ve completed all interviews? They said they would make a decision last week and that this is a critical hire. The candidate felt positive/confident about being a top pick based on their interviews.
A) I accidentally missed a phone interview for a job I am genuinely interested in and I don’t have a good excuse. I got nervous last night, couldn’t sleep forever, and then overslept. What do I do? B) How does one go from accounting to Sales? Anybody? Any one I can connect with or get tips on a résumé?
Interviewing for a senior manufacturing/quality manager Amazon out of Seattle, seems like a L6/L7. What would be the average compensation?
Whats your go-to meal when cooking a quick lunch while WFH? Lately I’ve been making roasted sheet pan veggies (sweet potatoes, red onions, broccoli, asparagus and seasoning) and it’s epic. 20 minutes on medium heat and then 5 on broil. Love it!
Hi! I am asking for a friend - “I’ve been in the AWM tax practice for 7 years (4.5 year at pwc, 2.5 in industry) and looking to apply to EY’s national tax team (passthrough transaction group). Does anyone know how they conduct an interview and how technical it can be? Also any general thoughts/experience on going back to a big4 after industry?” Thanks!
Anyone have any recommendations on cities to temporarily move to while working remote? Living at home and over it and would like to switch up my environment for a month or two.

Those working in consulting at big 4..are you constantly seeing yourself working 50+hrs during Covid and just being told to keep doing it? To what extent can we push back? Just because we are home doesn’t mean we don’t have family obligations as well... expectations up front are never communicated so I don’t find out I’ll be working long until I start a new client....meanwhile many colleagues are working 40hrs consistently but pay is same.... not a complainer but something’s gotta give
What are some productive things you did during your paternity/maternity leave? I’m thinking about taking a post grad class to keep active. Another option I am considering is researching startup ideas
Welcome! What is your favorite part(s) of living in Boston or the surrounding area? For me it’s the culture, sports teams, and the history.
Recently cleared a Google Program Manager role in US. Due to some recent personal events, I might need to move to UK from US. Can I ask my recruiter to consider me for any UK position? Or will I have to go through the whole interview process again?
Is audit experience mandatory for advisory in big 4? I applied EY FAAS but has been told by recruiter that audit experience is required. So they recommend me to go to audit team for two busy season then apply for FAAS. Can anyone let me know if It’s true? Also if I go to audit WAM. Is it going to limit my opportunities to only FS industry when I apply for advisory like one year later? I want to work on different industry clients in advisory in the future. Btw I do not have audit experience now.
I’m having trouble getting interviews from FAANG companies. Can anyone give me some tips on what you did to get your foot in the door? Background: - MS Data Analytics - MBA - 3 years consulting experience - 4 years data science/ data analytics experience

Does anyone here have experience working as a PM for a non-profit? I have an interview with one that I would love to be a part of. I can’t find much information online regarding salary expectations. I am willing to take a pay cut to join a non-profit I am passionate for. That being said - I’m trying to balance knowing it may be lower with not accepting a low-ball offer due to lack of information.
Any great CPA recs in California to help file taxes? Ideally someone FIRE-minded but without any shady commission-based financial advisor vibes...

Hi folks! I’m close to 2 years at Amazon, been in tech sales for 6 years, and recently moved to a marketing position in events. I’m grateful for the opportunity to do something outside of sales, but burnout is pretty unavoidable at AWS. I’m curious if y’all have suggestions of other companies I should consider moving to in 6 months. Comp, WLB and inclusive culture are my top ideals. I’ve thought a lot ab Google, was offered a position at Hubspot but comp wasn’t enough. Please feel free to DM!
What are some atypical interview questions you’ve asked or been asked? The one that caught me most off guard, though an easy answer was, “What would you do if you weren’t doing advertising?”
Anyone here from FTI Consulting? Found a fitting role and I'd really appreciate a referral. Please and thank you 🙏
