I think you should bring it up now during the re-org so that appropriate title/ budget can be discussed at the right time. You can also frame it so you sell your experience and talk about growth opportunities into this level in a set period of time (6 mos/year) whatever you think is appropriate if now isn’t right.

Yes do it now! If you wait they’ll claim the reorg is finished so there’s nothing they can do.

Definitely ask! I was in the exact same position and got the promo and a raise

Hey fellow Disney Lovers, I generally have a few lessons in which I can use Pixar shorts to teach students how to identify and discuss literary signposts, how to identify and explain the development of theme, character traits, and other narrative elements. What are some of your favorite shorts? I am trying to incorporate activities where my students get to choose their own clips for independent practice with these skills and need a variety to draw from.

Have you ever run into a situation where you asked for more money (either a raise or when negotiating an offer) and you got it and regretted it? What are the strings attached to more $?

I read on LinkedIn about a senior engineer at salesforce who exited to become an associate at a VC firm. I’ve never thought about VC as a potential exit, but I’m curious why someone might do this over staying in tech (besides an interest in VC). It seems like the compensation is better as an engineer or PM.
