Just start applying, takes time to interview for job anyway. Also apply for unemployment benefits!
Don’t be afraid to give yourself some time off to focus on *you* before jumping back on the horse. Searching for a job can be just as time consuming as a full time job, especially if you’re securing a lot of interviews. Thus if there’s any personal projects you’ve been wanting to focus on, now is the time. I took a sabbatical last year - 3.5 months pleasure and 2.5 months of job searching; during the job search phase my days would be consumed with practicing for interviews, researching companies, browsing opportunities, etc. You’ll be in a unique position to be able to really study up on a company pre-interview. Whereas my true sabbatical time involved a lot of reading, learning new skills, doing some personal projects, etc that I didn’t have time for otherwise. Do what works best for you!
It takes a month or two to find a job in normal times. Start applying now and enjoy your time at home until something works out
By the way the $1050 per week is assuming you are from CALIFORNIA
Depends on your financial situation and self assessed likelihood of getting another job easily.
But to be honest I’m not sure I’d take time to enjoy unemployment right now. What’s there to do?

Yeah, sorry, it’s been one of those weeks and I haven’t had time to look yet - but yeah I’m for real.
If you can afford to, enjoy it
Apply for unemployment and enjoy! You will get $1050 per week because of the crisis. I would enjoy the benefit till the time lapses. While collecting unemployment keep applying for the jobs you want until you find something. Given this massive crisis I am sure people will be MORE THAN understanding about taking time off. I say this is a big blessing so take advantage of this!! You will be glad you did!
I would apply right away. There's nothing enjoyable about unemployment when the bills start coming due, and the longer you're unemployed the more stressful it becomes.
I'd try to land a quality job as soon as possible (no need to sell yourself short or accept a dead end position) but then delay your start date a reasonable amount before starting.
That period between your acceptance and start date is the time you can put your feet up and enjoy yourself a bit.
