Does it make sense to apply right after layoffs and then take some time while interview process takes hold or best to take time off once you get laid off? I’ve seen on LinkedIn people chiming in saying to take time off to reevaluate once you get laid off but I feel the opposite. Apply for jobs that week - then take the week off. I’m doing so - recruiters will get back to you in a week or so so then you’re interviewing two weeks out rather than taking a week to left the dust settle then applying

I’m a nursing home administrator and things have become so challenging in the industry I’m thinking of making a career change but I’m totally lost as to what i should do! Hi all, say you get equity vested in 4 years with a one year cliff. Let’s say the company goes from $50M Valuation to $2bn in that one year. Is there any laws that protect you from being fired during the cliff period? I’m not sure if this ever happens, but couldn’t the employer, if they had zero morals, just fire you during the cliff period so you are left with nothing?
