3 person team and it should really be 5 people

I work with 5 project managers, a team of 160 developers, and 30 qa/delivery specialists.

Never been on a team with more than 5 people. But yes there are teams at D with 100s of people which involves implementation or operate. At lower levels you feel like a cog in grand scheme of things but Ms and above find it a challenging experience to manage such large teams. Large pieces of work can be delivered in small timelines in an Agile way

I’ve been on these huge teams for multi-year projects, but the team decreases in size as each year passes

Most likely body shop/staff aug projects versus consulting teams.

Nope, not at my firm. Some people staff aug types but the vast majority aren’t

No matter the number, its never enough

Smallest was 6 people A through P. Biggest has been about 30-40, divided by workstreams of about 5.

Agreed with a post above. Must be some staff aug / call center type project. The largest team I was on - which involved multiple service lines (ERP implementation) was 15 people. Smallest team was me, myself, and I

Yeah, this is simply not true. I’ve seen this not only at my firm but other major firms (big 4, Accenture)

Never been staffed with more than one other consultant, usually solo. Including management, maybe 4 ppl per project.

like

Avg project is 2-4 ppl really involved in the project, then 1-2 higher level that get periodic updates during the project and review deliverable but that’s it

I’ve done mostly 2-4 person assessment projects, and then the implementation teams come after in full force.

I was on 1 project with 95 people on the IT audit part of it. Keep in mind this was a one off and not common this was the biggest client in the state

Starting a new job on January 3. Want to leave on good terms in case I want to boomerang down the road. Is it a bad move to put in my 2 weeks on December 17, right before my whole project team disconnects? Or should I at least give them a heads up before I put in 2 weeks? Do I need to tell my practice leaders/PPMDs in advance? I’m a SC fyi. Thanks fam! First time doing this.
