Anyone else get “recruited” then the company wants you to go through all the normal steps of applying? Formal applications and multiple rounds of interviews. I have someone I used to work for trying to recruit me to their organization. They’re pretty high up and I’d be under their span of control. Already talked to the recruiter and had a first interview but they want to do more interviews.

I recently joined hard core finance industry after working in different sectors for a long time. When I applied I thought I’ll be able to manage it and so did the people who interviewed me. But now when I’m here, I’m panicking. It’s been almost a month since I joined and I feel so dumb in the sense I can’t understand what’s happening around me or figure out what others are talking. I feel so low and think I made a mistake. I’m tempted to start applying again and leave this place. Im super lost.

Anyone work at Citi IA? Talked to a recruiter who mentioned bonuses are a significant part of the comp structure. He compared the role level of a senior manager @b4 with a salary comp of 175-225; would be around 150k ~ at citi with 60k bonus. He made it sound like the bonus would be significant.
