My company blames my generation for not being able to hire everyday. “You guys don’t want to work” coming from some overweight, racist, old coaster. I’ve barely taken any days off this year and pick up “skeleton crew” days any chance I get. I was able to work out a deal with my company before I came because of prior experience luckily, but they offer a terrible base salary and sham of a commission structure to new hires + no remote. Hi, so I got a call regarding a care coordinator position in California. They said the start pay is $20 per hour. I have some background with patients, I work as a nurse assistant (1 year experience) and have a bachelors in Healthcare management, plus worked in a front desk in a dental office. Is 20$ fair as a start? They said it's based on experience. I do want to move on honestly, because I work 12 hour shifts. And want 8-5 position. Should I just go for it if they give me that offer?

Hello Everyone! Had a discussion yesterday regarding “claw backs” being included in a policy for sponsorship if the new employee leaves before 3 years. It was a declining percentage over a three year period. My POV was that it wasn’t something I’ve ever done and didn’t seem like they were sure of the hire they were making. I get wanting to save costs but at the same time doesn’t feel inclusive or welcoming. Thoughts? Have you done this or seen it work? Thanks!
