Just be patient. Your puppy has a tiny bladder at that age so they may have to go out more often. Also they are growing so don’t exercise or walk them too much at first (for example don’t try to jog with them yet) but short walks are okay. Also the vet should give you a timeline of when your puppy can socialize with other dogs depending on their scheduled shots. Follow that because they can get sick as puppies. Also take tons of pictures. They will only be tiny once!

Start with a crate from the first second. Ask the shelter/breeder for a good recommendation.
Get your dog checked out at a vet as soon as you can.
Thank you!
go to a puppy class! and then do an adolescent one. it’s more for you to learn than anything but it also gets them in the habit of paying attention to you with distractions around.
and when they annoy you (they will), it’s ok to leave them at home and take a walk to clear your mind. puppies are fun but they are hard, good luck!
Thank you!
Having a strict and consistent schedule will make your life easier later.
When it comes to having a dog, there really isn't "easy." People with poorly behaved dogs taught their dogs to be that way.
For everything. Your life will change.
Read about socialization! It’s not about “socializing” but about getting your dog used to different sights, sounds, people, and animals.
Start with desensitizing to grooming at a young age - brushing, bathing (dogs don’t need baths often, but you can shower her using just water so she gets used to it), teeth brushing, nail clipping.
Aussies are super smart and high energy, so she’ll benefit from learning tricks. Incorporate training into your every day - eg wait for a command before going out the door/exiting an elevator, sit and wait at a crosswalk, wait until you give command to eat food, etc (I would start with these once she’s a little bit older, maybe around 12 weeks)
Thank you both!
