Our students are also A/B days with A day students attending M/Th & B student's T/F. We are required to teach new content daily & move through our lessons as if everyone was in person each day, even posting unique assignments for our planning day (Wednesday). I offer my students on distance learning days to tune in to the live lesson during their scheduled class time on Google Meet via Google Classroom. I record the Meet session & post it for those who couldn't attend the live lesson. It's still a work in progress of getting them to understand that they have to do the same work as those at school even on days when they stay home. I do have at least 2-3 students join each live lesson from home, though, so there is a little silver lining.

We have either option of teaching new content each day or having a digital lesson for Monday/Tuesday and a face to face lesson for Monday/Tuesday and then repeat for Wednesday/Thursday. Everyone is online for Friday. I would say that both options have their advantages. I think I prefer the second option but it does present issues with the flow of content at times.

Back on the market and I’m coming to find two things: 1. Less desirable agencies are the ones who want people back on-site soon, with no wiggle room for remote work. 2. These same agencies want to pay salaries based on COL in the city where the agency is based even if you’re working/living from another market in the interim. Example: Midwest based agency paying Midwest salaries to folks living in places like NY, SF, LA. 🧐🧐🧐🧐

Back again with a question for the McKinsey folks! 1. Is it true that if you are internal (specifically PD) you are not eligible for a performance bonus? Just base and the 401K profit sharing? 2. I know McKinsey offers a percentage of your salary into a retirement fund. The recruiter painted it as a range (from 7-12%), but other fish in the main consulting bowl said it’s either 7 OR 12% (no in between) based off of if you’re client facing or internal - which is true?
