Hi All! I hope you guys are staying safe and healthy.
I am hosting a free workshop for teachers that I thought might benefit you. The workshop is called From Unsettled to Prepared Classroom. I am giving you the tools you need to feel organized and ready for this upcoming school year. There is so much that is still uncertain and it can be super daunting to start to plan for a year like this one.

What do you miss the most?
I would give each child a garbage bag to put their coat and any mittens, etc. in to keep throughout the day. Also, take any soft objects such as stuffed animals or pillows out of the room and clean them (and keep them out until the situation is under control).
This happened to me last year! We had all students keep coats and backpacks in a garbage bag rather than their hooks. I put away all soft surfaces, and was very honest with them on how it spreads so no sharing hats or giving hugs
Honestly- idk of this works but I use Lysol and wipes like it’s my job. Also- coats in backpacks all the time & for yourself, wear a lot of hairspray!
This teacher also got it along with several students. I got rid of all stuffed animals and pillows. I had the nurse do a head check. She did phone calls. Then we had a class discussion on head lice. We keep our book bags and jackets under our desks. I have tea tree oil scent in my room. I showed a video on live. They now have professional lice removal persons. Students learned to keep their hair ponytailed if long. And I shared with them my new hair spray tea tree spray. Lice supposedly hate the scent. Thank goodness we broke the cycle!!
