My interview got over on June 29th right after the interview the recruiter called me and told I’m selected and they will be sending the offer letter. He mentioned there will be a delay in releasing the offer letter since merging is happening right now. few days back I sent a mail to HR.. but no reply. and after that I received a mail stating they are no longer considering me for this position. Startup staffing question…do you think it’s professional/ethical to check references for multiple candidates before making an offer? Just had a company ask for my references and then tell me that they’re still reviewing four candidates. I never would’ve offered my manager if I knew in advance.
