I am an experienced consultant working at Deloitte. A recruiter reached out to me from PWC for a manager position. I have over three years of experience outside of US and a Masters degree from an accredited university in US. What do I need to know to respond to this recruiter. Obviously in the motive here to join would be a higher base salary.
If you were looking at two offers from the same company, how much of a comp increase would you need to take a contractor position vs a full time employee position? Please disregard the employee benefits part (Health Ins, 401k contributions, etc).
Question about a couple of opportunities that I am considering. 1. A consulting company which is willing to pay me more than the second opportunity but work is going to be based out of Toronto. 2. An insurance company and position is based in Kitchener/Waterloo. Does the extra pay make up for the diff in cost of living between Toronto and KW? Also will higher taxes based on tax brackets offset any advantage? Fyi 200k consulting vs 150-155k insurance. Assume future potential as same. Suggestions?
I just turned 24 and paid off my student loans earlier this year so now I’m looking at additional retirement fund/savings options. I have a pretax 401k and I’m thinking of adding a Roth IRA. I’ve done some research on the Roth conversion ladder and it sounds like these would have me in a good position? Any advice welcomed!

The small company I work for is going to shit (head of office quit, no new business, cutting hours...) and my boss is on a power trip treating everyone in the office openly like dirt. So who's hiring?
How much should partners be expected to communicate with one another in terms of demands on associates’ time? Should associates be managing all the way up, or is it reasonable to expect some level of coordination at the top? My firm does not have a workflow coordinator so I am curious as to how other firms handle this issue. This has been a problem at my firm which has left to people leaving after being over-utilized.
After so many FAANG rejects, I'm kinda getting addicted to the rejection emails and want to apply for some random MBB roles to get some more rejects! F this sh*t!

There’s no way this “Basement Biden” strategy will work for the guy. We’re nearing the final stretch of the election, and Biden is coming off as a coward who refuses interviews and barely receives any enthusiasm for his “virtual events”.
