We are moving to a big city, and my husband really wants us to choose a housing option that does not have a bathtub. It’s a fantastic house, but that’s kind of a big negative for me since we have a baby and a toddler. Anyone have ideas for ways to “create” a bathtub or something to buy that’s big enough for a toddler bath? Toddler loves his current baths in a normal size tub.

Have your husband bathe the kids on his own, without a tub, for the next week. Your problem will be solved.

If it’s only a rental situation and you won’t be there for long I wouldn’t be super concerned and just go with this.

A practical illustration: activities are fun. Painting is fun. When done right, with hand prints, foot prints, paint slop everywhere, you want to be able to throw your kid in a tub to de-paint them. A “workaround” bathing situation will get in the way of toddler fun!

No reccos, but if it's any comfort, my kids were into showers sometime when they were four.

4 and 2 year old who hate showers 🤷🏽‍♀️ we just went on vacation without a bath tub and while I could convince the 4 year old - I had to hold younger one and well soap gets slippery and very close to dropping him as he tried to jump off. Honestly you never know when your kids will accept showers 100% - I would want a bathtub.

I know it sounds crazy but you can get the toddler used to showers. Can be fun too. Or buy a big plastic bin or something to use

I have a question, but to put it in context takes more characters than this allows--I'll explain more in a reply. Briefly, I struggled through seven miserable years of teaching until I finally got asked back by a school in 2019. My classroom management was disastrous; I knew it, but couldn't seem to fix it. Then I took a seminar, and got better. It really was that simple, though of course I'm still learning. So, can classroom management be taught? I believe so, but no one else seems to agree.
