We are practicing social distancing to save lives from the pandemic, but how many lives are we putting at risk by ruining the economy?

The government can step in to save the economy, it can't step in to give you a non-existent vaccine when you about to die from the virus

The Soviet economy is an '84 Yugo that's been driven by a bunch of literal clowns and hasn't had an oil change in years. The US economy is an immaculately maintained Corvette. Sure both are cars, but you don't get to make the lazy argument of "Yugo's engine blew up when you revved it above 3000 RPM, so the same thing must happen to the Corvette"

So this is a serious question. OP, before you posed that question, did you think about the fact that you might lose one or more loved ones? In your mind, does that trade make sense?
This is a serious question, because i don’t understand it. A couple days before the market tanked i put a pretty good chunk of my savings into the market and it was basically wiped away. Even then, I’d rather have the people i care about be safe than risk some ass clown getting them infected.

Pedantic sidebar: That’s not what “begs the question” means. On topic: Sorry about your family’s store but a couple of months of their livelihood probably isn’t worth killing thousands of people.

If the healthcare system collapses and society panics there is no economic recovery - the problem becomes far worse. Right now the focus is containing the pandemic to allow for a restoration of the economy and a foundation for consumer confidence. Look at the rate of infection in New York and extrapolate to the rest of the country. Sadly New York is going to be a Petri dish for the impact of this on American society.

I want to be able to teach general education as a backup. My license is K-12 moderate intensive right now. Is there a way for me to get a license to teach gen Ed without going back to school full time? I know I can do the supplemental license but the school district has to cooperate with that, and I really don’t want to take that route right now.

Someone posted about my psycho ex-husband on one of those cheater websites detailing what he did to me (cheating, dv, etc.). It was the top result for him on Google. He begged me to take it down but I didn’t post it so 🤷🏻‍♀️ He also tried to pay to have it removed but they just reposted it. I hadn’t thought about it in awhile but I just got a piece of mail for him with an entirely different name. I did some googling and since he couldn’t get it down, HE CHANGED HIS NAME 💀💀💀 I can’t stop laughing.

A while ago I lost a stud earring and haven’t been able to get something new because I don’t like anything. Please help! 18k gold, diamond, either studs or very small earrings. I like when there is something interesting done with the gold. I don’t like overly simple. Any designers I should take a look at? Budget is flexible
