We are realizing that a leverage point to improve our release process is improving sprint discipline. Excellence in sprint discipline is not part of my team's culture. I'd start by getting buy-in and support from upper management.

This the path we're going. I'm working with our agile coach to come up with a program and then getting backing from our culture officer and hopefully CTO

How are the incentives aligned with planning, delivering and retrospecting on sprints?

Delivery is incentivised by annual goals that impact everyone's comp. The goals are a combination of feature delivery, quality, and sales. We release at a fast clip and pace is overwhelming some teams/members. Ideas to improve are brought up in retros but are not sticking and becoming consistent practice. Typically it's PMs that lead the teams, but I'm looking for ideas on how to get the entire team involved in raising the bar on improving how we work and keeping each other accountable to it.

Personally, I find making anything part of the culture comes from the top-down, and it's about consistency. The more we're all able to remind each other about what we're trying to improve, the more the habit will stick. Retros are an important part of that, but it's about somehow making it a day-to-day reminder without being annoying

I have never heard of sprint discipline but I am interested in learning more.
