We don't have formal perf reviews like most people seem to have at their company and it's hard for me to have evidence to prove that I should be getting a raise. Anyone have advice about what would work? And I think it might be good just for me to know for my own sake what my manager thinks.

I was much more ‘attracted’ to job 2 during my interviewing, the benefits are not great (typical public accounting) but regardless I’m not sure the benefits should matter that much. Would it be dumb to take job 2? I was doing a salary analysis with an assumed 6% annually and after 2 years I’ll be even with the additional 4200. But I’m sure with promotion I can renegotiate!

So, I am a high performer and had to cover for two very senior roles for many months due to quick high turnover. We already had our talks. I found it funny when I was told, “oh and by the way… as you can see we increased your bonus to thank you for covering for so and so.” $500 increase………. Am I silly to think this “thank you” increase is a joke? No salary increase and only $500 thank you for covering for two additional jobs. Am I unreasonable to think the work I covered for wasn’t appreciated?
