POV: 2 and s half months into a new job: position internal sales support. Request of SM to find all potential customers in 2 main areas of sales and send them the information of companies name as well as contact name and sort the info from most important company to least, all from scratch.
The SM knows I am new to the industry and have no previous experience in it.
Is this something normal to ask to have done? Is it normal to give a few days to hand in the requested information?

For SaaS and other software subscription service groups. Is it normal to build in an annual increase in the subscription cost? Company I joined recently added to the contracts that they will increase the contract year after year by x%. Not that they might, they will.
This is not referenced on quotations, schedules, etc, just buried in the fine print. Their other recent stated strategy is to "milk the current customer base" to increase revenue.

Everything used to pay $350k on target earnings. Tech is booming but I am noticing pay has dropped substantially despite inflation. I am seeing $300k ote and most roles are set up to not hit plan. Does anyone have insight here? It sends a clear message. Just thinking experienced sellers are going to leave or pivot because they follow the money and they are going to get less experienced sellers.

Hey, reaching out for advice. My husband has spent the bulk of his life in the restaurant industry as a beverage director and then most recently had owned a professional services company. He is thinking of getting into sales and is looking for a dynamic work environment and a place that would be willing to see his entrepreneurship as at least some relevant experience. Maybe entry level plus room for growth. Anyone have any ideas for good companies to target?

So I’m currently entering the 4th and final round of an interview process for a sales role.. The final round entails a sales pitch presentation where I present either a topic or product that I can confidently convey a persuasive message about.

The actual topic isn’t what’s important as it’s more about then actual skills show cased.. I’m currently struggling to decide on an easy topic that would suit well - between the topic and then any other words of advise I can use some tips for this !!
