Between the strict requirement of releasing billing time daily, high billable goal and I guess a heavy workload (and everything that comes with living through a pandemic) it’s hard to start my day excited for work. Thoughts on leaving a job without another one lined up? Someone (a guy, no need for me to hide the lead here) seemed to suggest that women could be viewed as “flighty” for leaving without a plan. I sincerely never considered that framing and now I’m nervous. What’s the right amount of time to give my firm notice I’m lateraling? I work high volume transactional (30-60 day closings). Been teaching 25 years. Private school, public school certified…. Tutor on the side, do homebound schooling, substituting at Public schools bc our Calendar is different …. Teach summer school every year. I feel so done. On the fence about summer school this year… have a great offer from an amazing district i worked with but when do I stop. I have students at my former school (I was there for 2 years) that are graduating this year. I've gotten 3 formal invitations.
I usually write a check for each invite I get, but I also have several invites from my new district. There's no way I can fork over that much money!
