Are anemics in high risk category for COVID?
hi there! i’m currently a Project Manager (former event producer prior to covid) and I’m feeling a little bored. Looking for suggestions on a job that combines an operational focused element (overhead strategy and ops) mixed with some creative element dities and travel!
Starting to engage in more conversations with recruiters for job opportunities. When asked what range I should go for, what should I say? Currently an A2 that was up for Senior, but didn’t get promoted because of Covid. Base is 65,000 and I live in Texas.
Covid has really taught me the difference b/w true vs activity friends (who are just people to do activities with). Over covid, I lost touch w/these friends either b/c they drifted away as they still did stuff but I didn’t/got into relationships/moved away. Now, they comment on my IG stories and I’ll ask how they’re doing, etc. but they never ask about me in return. On the other hand, my true friends do but my activity friend list far outnumbers the true. But it’s ok, quality > quantity 🥲🙃
For moms delivering in covid times, are you planning for labor and delivery nurses gifts? FTM and not sure if this is expected, etiquette or should I avoid during covid times given we have to carry everything including infant car seat all at once while entering the labor unit. Any suggestions?
I have moderate-conservative views. My team, 6 other people, are all very left-leaning. Politics isn't usually discussed outright, but the liberal views frequently seep into our meetings. It's uncomfortable for me; I can't chime in when they talk about media, covid, news, etc. because I don't agree with their snuck premises. I get along with all of them and I don't think they realize I'm basically a closet conservative. Anyone else feel like a total outsider on their team?
And another reason why Americans are getting hit harder by coronavirus - being more obese than the rest of the world. It’s time to lose more weight people!! https://www.cnn.com/2020/08/05/health/obesity-covid-vaccine-effectiveness-wellness/index.html
A friend just expressed frustration at covid weight gain and embarrassment about going back into the world. I’m not sure how best to support her other than telling her I love her and can’t wait to see her after months of lockdown. Would love any advice on what you’d want to hear if you were her.
I tested positive on Friday for Covid. I have no symptoms- feel 100%. I can’t leave my studio apartment until Monday. Normally I run anywhere from 4-6 miles outside a day. Anyone have any suggestions on exercise classes that don’t require any equipment? Or just general ideas to keep moving?
What kind of shoes do you wear for long COVID shifts? My crocs are starting to get uncomfortable now. I guess no footwear is meant to be worn for 16+ hours straight.
Should I shoot my shot with this boy I’ve always found attractive since high school? I think he’s back in the area due to COVID. But I’m scared. It’s essentially a cold call. I mean, he did reply to one of my Instagram stories with fire emojis but idk
Stocked up before covid started, but havent had a desire to drink because I don’t care for it. (Only 2 glasses of wine in last month; not a big drinker). Share a pic of your stockpile
Brands during COVID: “During these unprecedented times, we are here for you.” Creative directors: “During these unprecedented times, we have been shortlisted for Cannes.”
Seems like this year I’ll end up spending my birthday alone (or with namesake friends - how do I avoid them?). Thanks to Covid-19 & how stupidly we’ve handled the situation. P.S.: This is not a post for sympathy, just trying to vent.
How many of you are working more since the coronavirus outbreak? How many of you are working less?
Trump says he's done a "spectacular" job; blames the lack of tests on Obama, who left office 3 years before. https://www.yahoo.com/huffpost/donald-trump-barack-obama-coronavirus-test-084147363.html
not related to Coronavirus work life but how should one deal with a neighbor who plays music super loud when the walls are thin? Just moved into this apartment building and so far it’s been every day...
Hoping to have a small Covid-style wedding in August. Not my dream wedding but will make the best of it. Does anyone have suggestions for an officiant? For some reason I have a hard time going to google for this!
Anti-vaxxers: will you get the COVID-19 vaccine if developed and manufactured by industry, e.g. AstraZeneca, J&J, Novavax, etc?

The worst message to randomly get half way through a meeting is “are you taking notes” If you thought the meeting was important to document, tell your junior tell ahead of time to take notes or maybe even start hitting stuff down yourself.
Anyone who has recently left West Monroe, what are your thoughts and why did you leave? Currently evaluating an offer.
When you accidentally like someone’s very old post/picture while stalking them… brb moving to another country.
Whenever I browse LinkedIn, I feel like such an underachiever. Are people there exaggerating their accomplishments or truly doing all that stuff they say they do?
Why are folks in the industry so sluggish/slow? A sore request take hours to complete while us consultants do so much in lesser amount of time and with much more accountability
For my coloradans, what next car should I buy that can hopefully last me 200-300k miles, and our winters (especially I-70)?
What’s the general opinion of Kearney vs other consulting firms? I have never really come across their work much.
Too bold to ask my PM, if I can go to the gym for an hour during the middle of the day if there are no meetings? My one concern is any ad hoc client requests. Was also thinking of setting an hour on my calendar, but “in a meeting” will quicklly become “away” if I’m not on my computer
Growth in salaries at the big 4 has exploded over the last year. Are we overpaid? Are we in a bubble that is going to pop?

Booked a room under another company’s rate and got an email a few days before from “Rooms Control” telling me that I need to have proof of current employment available at check-in. Is Marriott starting to crack down on rate codes or was this just circumstantial? Been doing this for years without issue.
