We had planned to go to NYC from CA for 3 days week of thanksgiving. Just me & husband, not planning to meet people but wanted to enjoy colder weather and eat good food. However , COVID is spiking again & there are some “voluntary” quarantine requirements. Can anyone from NYC please describe what it’s really like & whether we should cancel our plans even if we plan to travel safely?

Starting to engage in more conversations with recruiters for job opportunities. When asked what range I should go for, what should I say? Currently an A2 that was up for Senior, but didn’t get promoted because of Covid. Base is 65,000 and I live in Texas.

Covid has really taught me the difference b/w true vs activity friends (who are just people to do activities with). Over covid, I lost touch w/these friends either b/c they drifted away as they still did stuff but I didn’t/got into relationships/moved away. Now, they comment on my IG stories and I’ll ask how they’re doing,etc. but they never ask about me in return. On the other hand, my true friends do but my activity friend list far outnumbers the true. But it’s ok, quality > quantity 🥲🙃

For moms delivering in covid times, are you planning for labor and delivery nurses gifts? FTM and not sure if this is expected, etiquette or should I avoid during covid times given we have to carry everything including infant car seat all at once while entering the labor unit. Any suggestions?

I have moderate-conservative views. My team, 6 other people, are all very left-leaning. Politics isn't usually discussed outright, but the liberal views frequently seep into our meetings. It's uncomfortable for me; I can't chime in when they talk about media, covid, news, etc. because I don't agree with their snuck premises. I get along with all of them and I don't think they realize I'm basically a closet conservative. Anyone else feel like a total outsider on their team?

A friend just expressed frustration at covid weight gain and embarrassment about going back into the world. I’m not sure how best to support her other than telling her I love her and can’t wait to see her after months of lockdown. Would love any advice on what you’d want to hear if you were her.

I tested positive on Friday for Covid. I have no symptoms- feel 100%. I can’t leave my studio apartment until Monday. Normally I run anywhere from 4-6 miles outside a day. Anyone have any suggestions on exercise classes that don’t require any equipment? Or just general ideas to keep moving?

What kind of shoes do you wear for long COVID shifts? My crocs are starting to get uncomfortable now. I guess no footwear is meant to be worn for 16+ hours straight.
