Oh geez, I only have had my admin for a couple months and didn’t even think of this. Thanks for bringing this to my attention going forward (clearly not a helpful response for OP tho)

EY partner here. Same situation -I do $250 and a gift basket.
My old EA was amazing and did a lot for me, so I did $500 and a really nice gift basket. I miss her.
I completely hear you. At my old firm my EA was really my right hand and knew as much about my clients business as I did practically. I’m afraid that model is gone with the wind.
My EA runs my life so 500$/Birthday and 500$/Christmas as she’s a fantastic human being.
I usually send a $100 Amazon card. (Non equity partner here….wish I could do $250)
I have no idea how much you make but if I had to hazard a guess, you 100% can afford it, you probably make 5X what your EA does, everyone deserves some love and support, especially these days. I make 300K and can afford 500$ budget for my EA, if you are looking for specifics.
And I’m not looking for a specific gift suggestions but what price range should I plan to spend? I’m curious what others have done to see if I’m doing too much or not enough.

What’s the ratio of executives to EA?
5-6 to 1
Always done 250 for holidays, 100$ for birthdays and 100$ for admin appreciation day. Have an EA who splits time similar to what you called out.
