Because no one puts their time in ARMS. They seriously use that when making hiring decisions


You can’t put ARMS to blame. There were plans to ramp up core - How many people have we hired for that? Even without ARMS, it’s not hard to see that everyone is utilized and we have so much new work coming in.


Yeah it's a huge problem.
Why have we not hired 10-20 more people in the last 6 months?


Why doesn’t leadership say : hey everyone , we’re currently thinking about making hiring decisions. Please update arms ? Thank you.


OP that message has been given several times. Last year Advisory leadership stopped us hiring for the same reason and DF communicates this exact point several times


I don’t know EY3. I feel like communication isn’t the greatest


And we still need to hire good people...

Which is almost impossible in this competitive market

We should ask leadership that question. I wonder if any PPED would be happy to chime in ?

Ditto about ARMS. Also, apparently leadership experienced higher than expected attrition.

People need to learn how to use ARMS as otherwise, it comes back and bites all of us. Seriously, it's not hard to do so and I don't understand how there are people who consistently fail to update it.

Serious question: If the police are defunded, what happens when someone breaks into your apartment? Asking because this happened to my neighbor on Wednesday and there was no help provided from NYPD.


Now that we have work all year long and lack of an off season, isn’t it a good argument to work just 40 hours a week all year long? Of course there will be some 45s, but I feel it can all be managed if leaders are willing to turn away work and still make a good living. I just don’t see the tax profession improving at its current state, am I just being pessimistic? I know the demand will be there but to continue to work 55+ hours doesn’t sound like something I want to continue as I get older.

Hi everyone. Another friend just announced that she was pregnant- which makes 3 announcements in just as many months. Each couple had “difficulty” getting pregnant but all were able to conceive with one or two months on medication and were bumped up to meds very quickly. Have been trying for a year and a half over here, take 13 supplements a day, shots monthly, had surgery in December, have upped letrozole doses and still nothing. Feeling pretty down today.
