We have a new CEO, brand new executive team and now a new CHRO. Feeling like the earth underneath me has been shaken, and not sure how to acclimate myself to the new leadership team. Any insights from previous experiences?

Be generous with information but don’t talk bad about anyone. Offer to help them get settled. Provide insight and information. Give them heads up on issues. Get them to trust you.

I find warmth and humor go a long way. They may be leadership, but they are still going through the being-the-new-person thing.

Just be curious and try to get to know them. They might be great people

Trying to decide between applying for sales jobs (account exec) or something more ops/PM related, work towards product manager. Great storyteller, dangerous with tech theory/principles (can talk to a lot) but don’t have a very strong technical background in terms of hard skills. Would love to someday work for a venture capital firm and/or a game changing startup. Advice?

So I have been casually interviewing and got a very intriguing offer today. However, my current employer had just filed for my PERM a couple of weeks back. Any suggestions on how to proceed? I'm guessing I'll have to restart my PERM process at the new company if I decide to switch. Any personal experiences?

Non-equity partner here, planning to put my name in the hat for an equity vote next fall. Looks like my buy-in will be approximately $100k. Question: how do people pay for their buy-in? I've diverted my 401k savings into a savings account for now (my firm doesn't offer a match, but gives us a flat percentage of salary contribution), but won't have the entire amount in the bank by next year. Thoughts? Personal loan? Home equity? Other?

I have a family member that started a company. Said company reached out to my sister asking for an interview presumably not knowing she was related to the founder. She is at a cross roads - it’s a good opportunity and she would never see said family member but she is worried people might think nepotism as they have the same last name. Also she is unemployed so she needs a job. Would you take the interview?
