While everyone has drinks, pull out a bong. It’ll do one of two things: make then jealous, or they won’t invite you back. Win-win in this scenario.

I have nothing against these events in theory, but the fact that only one person can talk at a time makes them painful. They feel like a city council meeting, not a happy hour.

Amazing. Do it!

Make an appearance but have an excuse to drop off early.

To be the unpopular opinion here - yes you should go. Totally agree that virtual happy hours are awkward and weird but in terms of being seen as a team player and building relationships/trust doing the small stuff like this makes a big impact.

No

You don't "have" to do anything lol but it would be nice to reconnect with folks and see them in a different element

Hi everyone! I am new to Fishbowl - didn't even know this is a thing! I am looking for a Recruiter - fast paced, energetic, personable, strategic, forward thinking, thorough and good at building relationships. Can be remote some of the time, but really needs to be local - Knox (outside of), TN. I would really like to have someone who has some accounting recruiting experience.

For those of you who spent a long time in big law (at least 10 years but more along the lines of 15+), when did you know it was time to do something else (maybe in the law, maybe not)? I don’t know if it’s wfh or just the work now, but I’m finding myself getting amazingly frustrated at things that barely bothered me before. I had an argument with opposing counsel last week and was seeing red for hours after that, and little things seem to bother me much much more than they would have before

So teachers have to go back to the classroom even though we are still remote. The justification is to "prepare for going f2f" but there's no date for that yet. Is the real reason because they don't trust us to do our jobs?
