We have an employee who continually takes intermittent FMLA. She never fully uses her 480 hours but comes close. Then she renews, year after year. Is there a limit as to how many times she can do this? She is a team lead and yes we have a back up for her but this is getting a bit frustrating for the managers. Any suggestions?

So you're upset that an employee is using the benefits she's entitled to? Even though she's not exceeding her allowed hours?

Do you get the impression that it’s a valid need every time or is the company feeling taken advantage of?

I think that's a fair question, if it's not wrong and she's not exceeding her limit, I don't think it's a big deal

Hi Laurie - Is the time off interfering with the operational need of the business?

She came 35 minutes late and the time I had to leave for the dentist and I can’t eat after usually so I was annoyed. She’s mad at me for not being thankful she brought food when I told her I appreciate it but I couldn’t eat it now since I had to leave.

Hi Techies, I have 3.8 years of exp on GCP as Data Engineer. I'm getting paid 17 lacs in my current company. My juniors are getting paid more or less the same in other companies. How much do you think is the correct package for my experience.

I’ve been home for the quarantine since 22nd February, and I believe I gained approximately ~10kgs (and trust me, I’ve never been normal weight)..
I try to convince myself to have a walk, to practice some yoga.. but at the end I stay at home working or watching Netflix, as I don’t want to meet people. I feel I want to go to the seaside but still I feel so ashamed for my body and I think I’ll be home for the entire summer. It’s like I want to hide myself from the world and disappear.

Coaching leader on factors influencing KPIs.

I had a chat with my business partner, and he’s said the team is complaining about the KPIs that are too far of a stretch.

I then suggested him to unpack that a bit more. When one is not hitting their KPIs, there could be many factors.

My initial view is that it could be true but we also have to look at CAPABILITY, TECHNOLOGY, WAYS OF WORKING etc before assuming our KPI is not set up right.

What is your approach in this scenario?
