How impactful it’s to be SHRM certified?
I’m job hunting in Los Angeles, looking at a variety of titles (HRBP, Sr. HRBP, Manager, Sr. Manager, Director). I have 8 YOE and my SHRM-SCP. I reached my report limit on payscale.com, so I used a variety of other sites to price the roles (BLS, salary.com, Glassdoor, LinkedIn, Robert Half). The problem I’m having is the huge inconsistencies between sources (there are $40k differences between some of the identified medians). (Continued…)
So you're upset that an employee is using the benefits she's entitled to? Even though she's not exceeding her allowed hours?

Presumably one of two things is true:
1) the company asks for medical certification and this person provides it each time
2) the company does not require medical certification for FMLA
In either case, the employee is doing nothing wrong unless you have reason to believe they’re lying to take the leave

Do you get the impression that it’s a valid need every time or is the company feeling taken advantage of?
I think that's a fair question, if it's not wrong and she's not exceeding her limit, I don't think it's a big deal
