DC/VA ladies—does anyone have a regular nail salon that does a good job with brow waxing? I’m not trying to go to a brow specialist and pay $50-60. I literally just want a good little Vietnamese lady to do the standard brow wax for $10 and call it a day 😩 why’s it so hard to find that here. The ones I’ve been to have been horrible and I’m not used to that
Side hustle or startup ideas for someone who isn’t technical/doesn’t code? Where should I look or where to begin? I don’t have any strong passions or specific skills that I’m confident in. What books, articles, blogs, orgs, events, people I should follow for inspiration that has helped you? I have some cash to invest and am looking for a part time hustle that can cash flow at least a little bit of money on the side.

Hey everyone. I’m a Master student in Business Analytics at Columbia graduating this December. I’m looking to apply to Product Analyst/ Manager, Data/Business Analyst roles at Tech companies such as Meta, Apple, Shopify, Amazon, Uber, Microsoft, Salesforce and Netflix. I would appreciate if anyone can help me out in terms of referral or overall advice on how to boost my application given the current hiring freeze in most of these companies.
Ladies, it’s review season coming up and I want to get promoted to VP. Been at my place for a year working on a top tier brand and have been performing above my level since day 1. Any tips for me?
My background check is taking forever and now they are asking me to provide my letter of separation for a job I held 7 years back.
This is making me anxious since I am also in the process of H1B transfer - I just want them to tell me if I passed the check or not before I resign.
Anyone have an experience with a spotty background check and how fast/tedious it was. For ref for both my last jobs (in US) it was seamless.
Any BA4 here ? I have few queries.

I would like to avoid getting one (can’t justify the insane cost and my company doesn’t offer tuition assistance). Most of my experience has been freelance and I'm a self taught engineer. Though I have worked with a vc backed start-up @100k my first real employeement and later with a smaller company @85k in a different state.
I just began working with a larger company @100k and I know I have more experience then my first gig.
The offer I accepted is one level anyway from being senior.

I am currently working as a L3 HR associate partner and is looking to move into a L4 HR partner role but my manager keeps saying I should shadow someone in order to know whether the L4 role is for me. Does it make sense that they’re asking me to do this or should I just go ahead and apply for these L4 roles? I kinda feel like it’s a strategy to keep me in my current role. I’d appreciate any advice on this issue.

I’ve interviewed for some product management roles, but am starting to feel a bit of fatigue, I’ve been interviewing off and on over a year and studying (online course for data and product management) at the same time.
If given the opportunity to work for a tech company within my current discipline (marketing strategy), is it better for me to take the offer and then potentially switch to product strategy later? Should I hold out for a product management specific role in my current industry?
Ok back to my highs and lows of the week! Please let us know in the comments. Excited to hear from you guys.
