I am trying to build my quiet area in my classroom. I am having a hard time finding things that I feel are appropriate for this area during this pandemic. Does anyone have any suggestions? Please and thanks!!! :)
consulting is like walking into the wrong classroom because you're drunk but the professor still calls on you anyway and you somehow get the answer right. or at least people think you did
What are some of the best practices I can incorporate within my classroom to promote social justice? I feel like a lot of my students don't really grasp this issue.
Should you have to ask to be included in your boyfriends life? Like saying you want to see the classroom and his campus and always having to ask instead of him offering to show you around and stuff
Does anybody incorporate SAT/ACT vocabulary and question stems in their classes? How does SAT prep look like in your classroom?
I am looking to move out of the classroom into instructional design or training roles. Is there any advice for a teacher looking to move to corporate remote work?
Moving from elementary to middle school. Looking for advice on anything from classroom decoration to classroom management & behaviors. Any help appreciated!
I'm really going to miss this place.. the kids, my classroom... SAID NO TEACHER EVER! Enjoy your break! You deserve it!
Anyone else an elementary specialist who gets called to help behavior kids, remove them from their classrooms if being unsafe and supervise them in a “safe room” type of setting? If so, how much of your own teaching are you missing in a typical day and what kinds of support is your district offering you? Right now, I am dealing with behavior kids for 1-4 hours daily (I’m the reading specialist). Almost non-existent support from the district. Just curious what it looked like in other places.
Hi! I wanted to hear different ideas on how to handle a bully in the classroom? How do you keep it amicable for others? This is high school aged students we are dealing with...👩🏼🏫
So my ISD split me between a HS and a MS that recently reopened. I'm the only MS band director. The MS decided, without consulting me, to use the band hall as a classroom and after school enrichment "daycare". AKA added desks and tables. How do I approach this? I feel it is not OK in the slightest. I feel the band hall should reflect the goals, discipline, and culture of the program. Not as an empty classroom.
What are your thoughts and opinions?
Does it matter what I wear?
My school does not have a/c and my classroom temp hovers around 80-85 when it's about 70 outside.
My usual outfit is khakis, button down shirt over a t shirt, (plus a mask), and I'm sweating all day long. I decided to wear nice khaki shorts and a polo shirt on a really hot day and felt self conscious as soon as I got to school. There's no contract language and I see other teachers dressed like this all the time, but they're female and I'm a male. Should I care?
Does anyone have a bitmoji classroom?
Does anyone have a good reading and reading response lesson for an LLD classroom? I have a demo lesson and special education is new to me. Thanks!
How politically liberal do the majority of people in your company tend to be? And where do you work?
Any tips on negotiating offers as an analyst?
Hi all! I’ve been working remotely since 2020- would like to continue this as long as possible. What companies would you recommend that WFH, have a great salary, and not too much h high pressure work load?
Any tips for working out at home? I can do cardio (running outside while staying super far away from everyone), but how do you do strength training? Do you need to buy weights or a mat?
Too little, too late. But we’ll fix it. We promise 🤞. – Martin leadership
