My coworkers & I have a group chat. Fairly often, we do some griping about work. We also have fun convos, share dog pics, etc. Sometimes though, you just want to commiserate. One coworker frequently comments about how it could be worse, stay positive, her prior job was so much worse, etc. One of us had called her out twice. She’s cool otherwise (except for a need to educate people unnecessarily on a semi regular basis) but this is really souring my desire to maintain a relationship w her.

I’m in a relationship that I’d be completely embarrassed to describe out loud and let people know what I was tolerating, but I don’t know how to get out of it and I’m not sure I can do it. I went through a long deep depression and I’m just coming to sort of, and becoming aware of so many things I didn’t have the capacity to deal with for a while. And I know it’s horrible. Former me before depression would have never tolerated this crap or even remotely let it happen. Just wanna sleep again.

Since leaving the federal govt & joining consulting last year, I’ve already learned new skills + met some great people. I’ve also seen a few who are competitive to the point of toxicity. Just like the feds who’ve perfected laziness & stagnation...I feel sorry for them both. With the feds, they may not realize it, but they are rotting in place. For the hyper competitive consultants, nothing will ever be enough. For both, by the time they realize their error, it will be way too late.

I’m falling out of love 😔. realized he is such a nice guy but not “capable” enough for me, as in I always feel like I have to be his mom/big sister to watch over what he is doing and have to guide him. This put me in stressful position and greatly affects my sexual chemistry towards him. I’ve openly communicated those issues with him. He has improved a bit but so slow.
