We shouldn't be wasting ventilators on people who refused the vaccine and got covid.

Here’s what I believe about voluntarily unvaccinated people: - their treatment should not be covered by insurance - their kids should not be allowed to attend school in person - health care professionals should have to right not to risk their own health to treat them - they should not be allowed into any government building or be able to attend sporting events, concerts, or other similar gatherings - if found to infect someone else, they should be held liable for damages in civil court

A1 should we masks kids for the flu?

We running out of ventilators?

Really? Let’s not forget what the root cause is for many of these people: opportunistic ideologues spinning the vaccine as dangerous for short-term political gain. Can’t we try to have a little more grace with these people? I’m not saying give them a medal for refusing to get the vaccine, but damn, how can you be so comfortable throwing all the blame on them and suggesting withholding treatment? Even in jest I think this is in tremendously poor taste.

PwC, as frustrated as I am with the willful ignorance of the unvaccinated and the slime balls who have misled them (looking at you, Tucker), you’re right about hospital access. But I take a pretty hard line on their participation in daily life.

Has anyone ever shit their pants at work or on the way to/from work? I’ll go first... Was on my way to my buddy’s place for post-work dranks when I got the sudden urge to poo. Found a house with no lights on and nice bushes out front and pulled over. (Cont’d in comments)

Can someone please help me navigate concerns about the vaccine? Literally all I hear from Fox News zombies saying big pharma and Bill gates are pushing the vax for personal profits only and Covid is not that deadly. What has worked with those in the inner network circle? What hasn’t? My pregnant wife who is nurse received both doses and I think a couple relatives believe the baby is going to be a cyborg.

Returned from sick leave and found out from other people at the office I totally messed up on a project that I worked on prior to sick leave. Now that my reputation has been ruined and facing an upcoming negative performance review. No one at the office stood up for me despite of positive work done prior to COVID or wants to hear what I have to say. I m bothered by this gaslighting practice both professionally and personally. I felt I was designated as the scape goat. Continued.

Data strategy question: My Fintech organization has 2 banking products, both of which have similar features, but one caters to smaller banks and credit unions while the other focuses on the top 100 banks in the US. The product and engineering teams for both these products operate independently and rarely use any common technology vendors (except AWS, our common infra partner). Does it make sense to have a common data strategy and a single data lake across this products? What are the benefits?

I recently got diagnosed with ADHD. I'm 31 and found this only because b school and post mba consulting job was/is much more challenging than anything I did before. What I'm confused about is that even as a teenager I could read entire books overnight. But the last two years of high school I started selectively zoning out and the problem has become worse since. I just realised it now. My doctor has suggested treating depression (I was also unaware of this) with Wellbutrin first (contd)
