We still have a month to go and I feel like I can maybe go another 4 minutes

I feel you! This profession was exhausting before the pandemic and with staffing shortages and new tax laws it’s a bad combo for us.

EY1 - there was about 15-20 of us let go. The point I was trying to make was that we work ridiculous hours compared to most people outside of PA but since everyone in Big 4 works those crazy hours we aren’t “special” so don’t expect them to care how many hours you work. I thought, I’m gonna work my butt off and out in lots of hours, but it didn’t matter. Good learning experience and a reminder that we are employees regardless if they call us “family” 😬

Bill that 4 minutes as an hour then chill

If you’re like most firms it’s just a month to get extensions done and we still have until the fall 😳

Interested in relocating to San Fran - what are the good spots ??

My husband and I worked together at the same company for a year in different departments and they laid off 25 employees last week. My husband was one of them. 💔
It was dealt with poorly and severance benefits were bad compared to other companies we are seeing in the media. I’m really struggling to move forward and heal. The priority is for me to support him finding a new job but I just feel sick giving my time and energy to this company when they did this to us. any advice for strength😔

I have an extremely difficult 2.5 year old boy. I know this is a difficult toddler age altogether but I think I’m experiencing way worse. There are frequent tantrums in public settings and it’s very embarrassing. We can’t do anything. He’s in daycare and apparently he thrives, so we just don’t get it. Should we wait it out or consult a behavior therapist?
