We usually Venmo our nanny each week. But for holiday bonus, do you all usually give literal cash? Check? Venmo feels like it’s not a physical gift

Cash

likeuplifting

I hear cash is more popular but I do the same direct deposit as the rest of her check. Feel like my nanny probably wouldn’t want to be leaving work after dark with a ton of cash actually.

Cash and I put it in a gift. She loves our YETI tumblers for her tea so I got her one and put the cash in the tumbler.

Even selecting a good book she would like and putting the money in it. It shows you pay attention to her interests and she’s not just an employee.

I just Venmo the bonus and give her a card plus a small gift from the kids. That would be a lot of cash to walk around with.

I just gave ours cash

My manager doesn’t seem to have any boundaries - always saying yes to additional unnecessary work from the client and always working through weekends/nights/PTO/holidays. They are supportive of encouraging everyone else to have a WLB but since they don’t lead by example it ends up making me feel like I’m doing something wrong or crossing a line whenever I set a boundary with them or push back on a request that doesn’t align with our goals or priorities

Do any of you at EY ever have issues actually taking your vacation? Given we work with people across regions on multiple projects at once, who do you ask for approval for longer vacations? How much leeway do you have when negotiating start dates? I would like to start in Jan since I save most of my PTO for the holidays. If I start in Nov/Dec I either won’t be able to take it or will start in a hole.
