I sent from my work email a follow-up email to two people at another firm who I interviewed with. I sent from my iPhone and for some reason iPhone auto populated my work email instead of personal (even though I had previously only used personal to communicate with the other firm). I immediately realized the mistake (after double checking the sent box of personal and then the sent box of work email), and “recalled” and double deleted the message in outlook. Will employer likely see the email?

I seriously think that gun to his head my client could not tell the difference between any of the Asian people in the office that he works with on a regular basis. I'm Japanese and Indonesian, two guys are Pacific Islanders and one guy is Filipino and yet he calls us all each other's names. I am glad he said something about it and got added but feel not so great he was omitted initially.. meh 🙄

How important is earnings potential in choosing a partner? I (29F) met someone online and we have been texting/calling for a few weeks. Last week I found out he makes about 1/2 of what I make. Seen a lot of commentary on here on how Asians don’t typically support one another professionally compared to other minorities (e.g. African, Indian) and ‘groups’ (e.g. white men).

I think a lot of what drives it is the way Asian parents talk about their kids amongst other parents like it’s a competition. Perhaps my childhood experience was isolated, but I don’t think it is.

I think it’s a massive shame, and we should do better to support one another.
