Getting married next month and we’d like to have a joint checking account to cover shared expenses, however I don’t want to miss out on all the points I can rack up by consistently using my delta platinum card (spending thresholds = point bonuses, etc). Also my credit card bill will likely be a mix of shared and personal expenses, so how do couples go about this? Open to any advice. Thanks!
Hi!! Has anyone here interviewed for an AWS role? I’ve linked the role below. My dad is interviewing for this role and I would love to give him some tips on how to suceed. He’s super excited! I’m less technical and he’s an immigrant so want to help him prepare the best I can! Any advice on interviewing at Amazon in general/this role would be helpful! found a $200 better hotel deal on SPGs app than through deloitte travel -- any chance there's a way to book through the app and expense it rather than book through deloitte travel?
Can I apply for the same department my wife works in? Or would that be conflict of interest? She works for a big 4
How long have you all been interviewing for?
I have offers with Bain (Sr mgr) and BCG (PL2), and will be focusing on their PE practices. I know Bain is the leader in PE work, but having trouble deciding which offer to go for. Biggest factors for me to consider is career progression (in consulting), culture, optionality in the types of deals/projects. My conflict right now is I had better interactions with BCG interviewers and initially leaned that way, but the infrastructure & market presence of Bain in this space is strong. Thoughts?
Recommendations for foot massager that does provide relief for sore heels?!? (occurring due to long hours of standing desk) Or anything else that works with folks?!?
Does everyone have an exit for Accounting? I’ve been searching for industry opportunities but nothing really stands out. I have previous GL Accounting prior to risk so I have a decent pool of options to choose from. I like the work I do in public minus the billable work and the crazy over time.
Any one else on STEM OPT? If you are working at a client location are you being rolled off? What options did HR give you?
I finally got a job and am very excited..but wanted to understand: Is 20 day PTO and 10 day holiday good? I had grand ideas of getting unlimited pto and working remotely and feel I can’t do this with 20 days The pay is good-ish and I am trying to negotiate on that. Can I negotiate on holidays, or anything else?
In the midst of all these layoffs, I'd just like to point out that I've worked for FCB Health for 15 years (now at Area 23 for last 6 years) and in my time here, there has not been a single layoff.
Hi all, Anybody from Deloitte who works on qliksense. I have an interview scheduled soon, so wanted to know what type of questions are asked. Thanks in advance.
Sooo I have forgotten how to express love! After having a baby a couple years ago, all I have been doing is chores. My way of expressing love to my husband is cooking, cleaning, taking care of the toddler. We split tasks equally so really there's nothing special about what I do. How do I express love again? What can I do to make him feel special and loved? PS: He did tell me once that he doesn't feel loved by me anymore. And I want to fix this. Help! Cont'd...
Did anyone exit from consulting to sales positions at Google or Microsoft? I am looking to pivot into sales and having a bit of a hard time getting interviews. Any tips or if anyone is willing to private message it would be appreciated. I have 3 YOE and 2 are in consulting if that’s helpful. Thanks!
I am looking forward for a referral for an opening in Gap Inc 11+ years experience for scrum master. Please help for any contacts, thanks!
Would you move from D to other Big 4 with only 20k raise (115 -> 135k)? Assuming you need to restart GC process from scratch a year after joining
Looking to plan a family resort getaway next spring. Will be first trip/legit vacation in two+ years by that point. May bring our nanny with us to help with our three young kids so we can relax some too. What do you consider reasonable cost for a ~4 day nice resort getaway (with airfare) for family of five + nanny? I know an Airbnb is cheaper but we’re looking to feel a little spoiled. My quick research is something like $5-10k… is that nuts for a four day vacation?
