I was on the course with my mentor this week for a business related event. All the men continually thought we were the cart girls and asked us to fetch them things despite being in a regular golf cart and wearing our (not beverage or course) company polos. Part of me wants to just say “it was hot anyone could make that mistake!” But part of me also feels like it was sexist and, based on prior experiences, it’s hard not to feel that way. Thoughts on and advice for these situations?

Once when I was waiting tables, I had a guy pay me cash. The change was 45 cents, which I didn't give back to him because like who wants that. He then asked where the change was, and when I explained that I didn't give back the loose change, he made a big stink about how dollars and cents matter and didn't leave me a tip. I accepted a $115K base salary, 13% bonus, 10k sign on bonus (scientist supervisor) job and two weeks later, got a $135K base, 17% bonus, and 15K sign on bonus (Senior scientist role) offer from another company. Should I accept the new offer ? How do I tell the previous company about this? Also, I’ve already negotiated with the first company and the $115K base is the negotiated salary.
