Considering taking a brand-side role to lead the creative marketing for an app I like, coming from a big agency environment. Great exec team, great pay, chance to build my own team, and frankly I'm tired of the churn and burn of agency life... But it would be my first client side role and I don't know what to expect. I'm scared of missing the imaginary cool factor of the agency world and afraid I'll get bored or something.
Would love thoughts from those who have made the jump.

I work as a financial Analyst at a Fortune 500 company & was recently offered an Associate role (both title & pay bump). Simultaneously, I’m looking to leave my company within 6-8 months from now to work for a smaller company / get out of the corporate “rat race”. Tips on leaving a role after only 6 months w/out burning bridges? Is that possible? I feel somewhat guilty about leaving my team after they spend time training me etc , but I know I have to make choices for my good > company’s good

Currently interviewing for a pre sales SE position and part of the process involves giving a mock presentation and demo. I have been given access to a sandbox environment but not a ton of guidance beyond that. Does anyone who has been through a similar process have any advice to share? I don’t come from a sales/ pre sales background so this is new to me.
Why do recruiters take so long. I get they all just got back from break and some may even still be on break, but when youre waiting for word on a job offer time slows down ever so much.
I have cleared my round 1 with Accenture CN and awaiting round 2 feedback for Banking practise . I had some negotiation over salary and designation in round 2 however i am not very confident about positive response. Is Accenture CN hiring aggressively and what are my chances of clearing the round? Is it just a formality if round 1 is cleared

Hey friends. My wife and I are looking to start investing in the market outside of our 401ks, hsa etc. We opened a Charles Schwab brokerage account and planning to transfer 2-3k/mo. We’re in our late 20s/early 30 and likely won’t need to touch the money for 10+ years. What should be our investment strategy? How should we allocate to what funds? Thinking of splitting evenly across large, mid, small caps, and growth, value funds using DCA.
I just winded up Product Sense interview at Meta. The interviewer started with quite some intro and then followed up with a question on “why would you like to work at Meta?”. That again took away some time. During the interview, I sensed a lot of urgency from the interviewer to get to articulating the user problem, and the interview overall went not as expected! Because I couldnt follow the structure I had thought I would like follow. Anyone here with insider knowledge of how this might go down?
I am friends..

How taboo is it to leave a firm as a first-year after only a few months? I just don’t think I’m cut out for this type of work, and I’m looking to switch gears entirely, but I’m getting mixed reviews.

Thoughts on pros/cons of moving from a large national firm to a smaller regional one? I’m considering it, but wondering if there’s anything I should be concerned about in making the jump.
Out of curiosity, how do firms treat tattoos and piercings? I have five tattoos and it’s never been an issue (they’re small and I can cover most up), but I’m at a mid-size firm in a small Canadian city and was surprised to meet a fairly senior associate from a national firm with a nose ring, and we recently hired a lawyer with a sleeve (which he also mostly covers). Is it a regional thing? I always figured I’d have to cover up but on the odd occasion mine have been noticed it’s been positive!
I’m done with BigLaw. I have no aspiration to make partner (I see the way they live and apart from the money, it doesn’t look like a good life). Before I decide to leave the law for good, I’m considering trying either a different area (criminal, government or something else) or in house. I want to figure out if I’m falling out of love with the law or just this area and it’s demands. Did anyone else find a new love for their job by swapping areas or going in house?

I’ve gotten great reviews and great work from my firm. One partner I just hate working for, though. She micromanages and sometimes it feels like she’s trying to embarrass me. Any advice?
Anyone else making more money than they ever imagined in their lives, and also more miserable than they ever imagined they’d be in their lives? My hours aren’t even bad, and I don’t have billables. I just hate the drudgery, clients, and lawyers/law firm culture.
I work for a big law firm that is known to be a sweatshop. I’m in my first year and am looking to lateral once I get my bonus at the end of the year. How can I tell the difference between my firm and others with less harsh reputations? Do those reputations actually hold weight? I don’t want to lateral and have the same experience I am now.

How do I know if I have ADHD or just chronic anxiety? Some days I feel paralyzed and simply can't get through my list or get the billing for the hours I'm putting in. I spend hours upon hours doing research from one legal issue to the next because I feel like I don't know enough. The sad part is that I know for a fact that the pressure started when I was given autonomy and trust to handle complex cases and assignments.
