There isn't much difference in pay , fractal paying a bit more on fixed part

How often do pregnancy tests show “shadows”? Haven’t missed my period yet but took one just as part of routine, haven’t had any accidents, and I very clearly see the Not Pregnant line but in some lighting there’s a grayish line next to it and I don’t want to freak myself out😅

My joining date is 5th September 2022 (next Monday). Till now I have received any On-boarding intimation from HR. The HR doesn't respond to emails, even when I keep myhr.gds in CC. HR also didn't share the mobile number, hence I can't contact her. My LWD is 2nd September. I have another offer from CTS. Because of no response from GDS HR, i am not able to inform the CTS HR that I won't join. Very frustrating moment. I am thinking whether I still have the Offer from EY or not. Pls help

Do any of you feel like your parents treat you differently or take advantage of you after you started making a Biglaw salary? This has been my experience. The amount of times I’ve heard “you make a lot of money, you can afford _____ / should do ____with your money” is frustrating. They also broke something in my apartment and didn’t even offer to replace it (I wouldn’t have made them, but an offer would be nice).

If it’s been 180 days since you filed GC application and have received your EAD, do you need to be employed at the same company who filed your GC, for the GC application to continue, or do you need to file a new application?

I joined EY as a Manager 2 months ago and new to consulting. Leading a project in a new area with 2-3 streams, with no seasoned folks in team. Within weeks they started asking me to own other initiatives saying only project work is not enough. I am still learning about EY, consulting, and work streams in my project while virtually WFH. Not to mention multiple calls/meetings, trainings and other initial tasks.

Not sure if this is the general scenario in consulting/EY. Any tips would be helpful.
