Me as a new hire : *panicked I was going to be fired at any moment.* Me 4 years into this : Maybe if they fired me, it wouldn’t be that bad of a thing for my life 🤣😂.
If you're laid off, do they ask you to resign? If so, can you refuse and ask them to fire you instead?
Hi all. Please give me an advice. I am still in my twenties but was fired by HF in less than a year because of bad relationship with my boss and my poor performance (originally from EU investment bank) Three months have passed now and got an offer from back office position from another EU investment bank. Though i want to continue seeking front office position, no pipeline anymore now. Should I accept this offer?
First time in an accounting firm… Is it normal to want to quit after starting a couple months ago? 😂 About to start doing the bare minimum and hope I don’t get fired.
Tax Manger 3: really want to get the job done well but not motivated at all. Definitely not partner material so this is not my forever job but I’m comfortable with what I’m doing now. Should I leave or wait until I get fired?
For those in senior positions- how are you not constantly worried about the success of your work? There’s so many things that can affect P&L that are out of your control, how do you stay calm and not feel like you’re going to get fired as soon as growth slows?
Made it a year without getting fired, and my reward is google stock vest. What's the best restaurant you've visited in LA in the last year?
Staff sent out paper AR confirms and got them back. Manager saw them and asked why their wasn't fold marks. Turns out staff forged signatures cause he didn't send them. Partner came out and fired him!
I’ve been terminated by my firm. Is there a reason not to sign the separation agreement and accept severance?
If you get laid off as green card holder, do you have to go back to your home country? Can I take contract jobs while searching for full time?
Checking in with those who were laid off a few months ago. How are you all doing? Are you having any luck finding open positions?
Unfortunately was just laid off. I’m taking this as an opportunity to look forward to new experiences and people to work with. If anyone knows of any Producer gigs, I’m now available. I’m agency side.
I was due for a promotion but then covid hit, and during the peak of layoffs/furloughs, I was given the run-around that we have agency wide promotion freezes, etc. Over the past month, a handful of people have been promoted. I know everyone's situation is different but I can't help feeling snubbed. How do I know whether they are genuinely trying to promote me and can't, versus them stringing me along for as long as possible? I dont want it to come to having to bring another offer to the table..
Completely burned out. Hardly billing. Motivation is gone. How long until I get fired? 🥲 Will there be a warning before? Stressed.
Do I have less chance of being laid off as a senior or am I just as expendable as a first or second year
If my firm violated employment law and now I want to leave, how do I negotiate/value a severance?
How do you know if you’re in the hot seat/might get fired or if it’s just paranoia? I feel constantly on edge...
If you are laid off and cannot find a job doing your day job, what will you do? I am trying to prepare a plan b and c. My car is too old for Uber eats etc. curious your thoughts.
What’s the bare minimum amount of time you should stay at an agency? Suspecting (another) round of layoffs and don’t want to get caught with my pants down.
What's the budget of IBM for lateral hiring on band 07b, for 8.1 years experience (java full stack developer)?
In the past year we switched to wearing jeans in the office and are now allowed to work remote from home when we don't have to be onsite. Just curious if this is standard practice now in the industry.
Anyone ever been on a project so dysfunctional + toxic that they've requested to roll off? How did that go? Asking for a friend lol.

Anyone sign marriage documents cause it just made sense at the time (insurance, buying home) and then had a ceremony afterwards?
Curious, what do companies use to evaluate performance if you don’t have reliable metrics? A technical workforce that is valued for their daily outputs vs projects, goals, etc. but there’s not a consistency or way to measure quality or amount of work being completed.
Booz folks. How is the life of gov contractors? I might end up moving over for a contract, but it seems like benefits are lacking. E.g. A friend of mine pays for her own health insurance.
Thinking about joining tech. 🐠 What are the non-FAANG companies do you see the highest potential (thinking that joining FAANG today probably doesn’t provide that much upside)? From a preference standpoint, most interested in fin tech and health tech. But trying to solve for RSU potential above all
I’m looking to make a shift into recruiting. I don’t have any typical recruiting experience but I believe I will be very good at it. Im excited to learn, very personable, love helping connect people. My issues are: Ive never worked a commission job before & taking that leap is terrifying. Im currently at a job that pays about 30K more than most of the base pays I’m seeing & I have great benefits. Any advice? What to look out for? How to pick a good place? Where are you working/why do you like it
Anyone exited to Chick-fil-A Corp? Currently interviewing and appreciate any insights. Thanks!
I have two career paths I'm aiming for at the moment, strategy consulting or finance/strategy at a CPG. My end goal has always been to exit to CPG. If I dont land in strategy consulting should I consider tech consulting?
