Oh Air Canada, trying so hard to be a real airline
I was once in a BA flight where they instructed people to put heavier items like rollaboards under the seat and lighter ones in the overhead compartment. It certainly has some logic to it!
I fly air canada all the time, they restate this in the announcements when you board as well, but never once have i seen it enforced, and the flight attendants will very rarely suggest it, only when overhead is full. Normally they will just gate check extra bags.
Noooo!
I used to fly Air Canada a bunch for a project. Once my bag was too big to fit in the overhead and they suggested going under the seat. It actually fits and it's better than gate checking it 🤷♀️
Can confirm, just saw in ORD lol
It surprisingly works! Done it for a few european airlines too bc I had a 30 min layover on another airline
