Oh dang. I just posted this same article... 5 hours too late. Sorry for the redundancy. If I were AI I would have known not to
Writing digital ads? Shoot, the machines can have it. I hate writing PPC ads.
Alex Vraskides, CEO of the AI company, is full of shit when he says we can't give a reason why we chose the words we chose.
“One digital ad written by humans read, “Access cash from the equity in your home.” However, Persado’s version, “It’s true—You can unlock cash from the equity in your home,” performed better with customers.”
Yeah no shit Persado’s version performed better, their human copywriter sounds like a robot.
👏👏👏 yes. exactly.
I saw a presentation about this a few years ago at SXSW; I thought it then and I think it now: any “creative” job a machine can be taught to do? Let them do it.
Social copy is where it starts, but I bet the larger goal for this technology is scripts, campaigns, big ideas, etc. I mean, right? Creating a full-service AI creative team seems like the end goal.
If any of you think I’m overreacting please let me know because I’d love a reason to feel wrong about this.

Makes you wonder whether or not this is a good time to be a writer.
