I am bad at negotiating, I just got my yearly raise, its 3.2% which is pretty low. I know I am already under paid, and I have proven myself, and continuing to provide myself (I got 3 recognition awards just within the last year). I would like about a $15k increase which will put me at just over midian range for my job SAFe RTE. But my boss kinda wants me to be happy with a small ish bonus (7k and after tax its just about half in my bank account). Wondering what would others do in my situtuation?
So after researching my salary is very competitive compared to the market But the raises given aren’t inline with inflation, how do I justify that I deserve a higher raise to go up with the costs of living? To me it seems that I’m being valued less and less as I can now afford less even with the raise
Hello fishes. I'm a MBA graduate currently working as a digital marketing professional in a mid size consulting firm with 3 years of experience. I am terribly underpaid in my current org at 5.5 LPA after a recent promotion and annual appraisal. Another mid size consulting firm offered me 7.5 LPA but I am asking them around 9 LPA. Am I asking too much or shall I take the offer of 7.5 LPA
What are the steps to respectfully asking for a raise? After I’ve already sent an email requesting a raise, speaking/asking to a meeting and letting it be known that I deserve a raise.
How is the promotion track in Bristol Myers Squibb in their Digital Capabilities team? Is it tough to move from Sr Manager to Asso. Dir? TIA.
Any experienced senior managers that have moved between Big 4 firms? Can you speak towards your experience, any struggles, and opportunities in terms of partner promotion? Frankly, EY path to partner seems to be too clouded (long pipeline, no clear direction/path, uncertainty on promotion cycles, etc.) at the moment and I would like to visit all options. Appreciate the input.

Joined EY TAS mid-Feb as staff 2 (had 1.5 yoe before in audit). With the October promotion now pushed earlier to August, am I still eligible to be considered for that promotion batch? I understand that I'll finish cycle 3 FY22 evaluation in May and maybe half of cycle 1 FY23 in July... Just not sure how the timing works. Also any advice on how to bring this up to the partners would be much appreciated! EY
Anyone who has/ heard of fbookers who successfully switched roles and gotten a promotion (L3 to L4)? Context I am planning a switch from analyst to data scientist from a non US location to US. However, L4 is needed for this jump (prob due to visa issues). With the current revamp in PSC cycle, I am not sure if I can successfully get promoted by next year and make the jump. To do so, I heard there needs to be 2 EE (for this half and next half). YOE 5, BASE 100K
Is there a way to bypass the promotion policy of not being able to apply for jobs in 2 or more levels above your current level? Especially, if one joined the company at lowest level with over 8 years experience? Reason was, I took a career break for 6 years and to maximise my chance of getting back into the industry, I applied for a role I was almost guaranteed to get. I had hoped it would be easy to rise in ACN but was met with "you can't be promoted 2 levels above", cont'd in comments
Is asking for a raise at a company I’ve been at for 6 months to soon? I believe the work I’ve been doing is worth more than what I’m making now

US immigrant 🐟 1) reach out to your congressman and woman and demand reform for skilled immigrants. It’s very easy, their assistants answer their phones 2) form groups and unite. Then donate to Washington lobby groups to put pressure on the Biden administration 3) spend money on media to create awareness I feel like we don’t play the politics game correctly. There are democratic channels and we should take advantage of it! 😊

I am currently looking to break into pre sales through a SE role. I’ve gone through a few interviews but am struggling to make traction, I think due to my lack of hard technical skills. I’m currently in IT management consulting and have been in the health IT space specifically for the past 8 years. Would love to connect with anyone they may have made a similar transition from management consulting to pre sales. I have 2 years of experience in SaaS sales but that was about 4 years ago. Thanks!
