Is it typical for big 4 firms to take a while to reach out after one submits an app? For context, it’s been about a month or so and I have not heard anything, my status shows under review… all apps had referrals as well and they were for consultant and senior consultant roles. Any insight would be great, thanks! EY Accenture Deloitte
Hi Applied to PwC Strategy& for a consultant role and havent heard back from a recuiter however, I received an email for a survey asking what am I looking for in the company in terms of their culture, values etc and what other companies I have applied to. Is this a typical process? Not sure if thats the step 1 in the process or I have been rejected. Any feed back is appreciated. I am graduating from Ohio State with an MBA and have 8 years of experience in corporate accounting and finance.

Do not let them submit you to the major agencies. No major / well-known agency works w/ them due to their predatory policies. If CC submits you not only will you be ignored by these agencies, but you can’t contact those agencies on your own for something like 18 months.
Also, if you accept a a freelance to perm gig through CC, know that the agency bringing you in will NEVER hire you b/c of the ridiculous finder’s fee the CC will charge the agency. I’ve seen this time and again.
Those things are in your control. So hand them a list of agencies they are NOT allowed to contact on your behalf.
Other than that, know that CC will take between 40%-50% of what you should be earning.
Wow I had no idea. Thank you for this very helpful post.
if anyone has any advice on how to not get screwed over with these contracts, i’m all ears
Say what you will about creative circle but I’ve made so much $$$ freelancing for them on the side of my full time job and I never have to worry come tax time so I really can’t say anything bad.
You did! Ask for at least 350 but I bet you could push to 400 with equity and sign on bonus
I’ve had a great experience with CC but it was for a direct hire position. Recruiter reached out on LinkedIn, position was definitely something I was interested in, she was upfront about salary, I had a couple interviews and got the job. Even used the recruiter to negotiate the salary. I think most of the bad rep comes from people contracting through CC. Who knows, if the position you applied for is full time direct hire this could be a great opportunity and CC will work like any other recruiter would.
Happens to the best of us. That being said, I’ve connected with some great people/talent through CC. You never know…
