Any referrals to Veeva Systems Inc. ?? Super interested in their open field marketing roles right now. I have 5+ years of marketing experience in commercial real estate but looking to break into tech. Hoping to leave my current company ASAP so if anyone can help, let me know and I’m happy to send over my CV! Posting a pic of my fur babies to boost 🐱🐶

I have recently joined TCS and it is pure development project I came from a support background having 2.5 years of experience. I am not able to understand the project and I want a release as there won't be any helping hand in near future and I wouldn't be able to give my 100 percent. What should I do to get a release I have already talked to my manager and lead they are not ready to release me as they are saying that they have hired me for this project.Tata Consultancy Wipro Cognizant Accenture

Call him/her out? Best case the record gets set straight, worst case you get fired. And let’s be honest, is that someone you really want to work for anyway?
It’s all just nomenclature.
I would probably book a meeting and say I was confused because I thought her response had been positive and ask her where communication went wrong
That’s heartwarming.
That’s just your boss’ way of saying “You’re doing a good job, kid!"
That’s terrible.
I would book a meeting with your boss to get closure on this, and let her know how that made you feel. Not blaming her but focusing on your feelings. (So it doesn’t feel like an attack and to help your ability to influence her.)
Try to empathize with her situation. She might feel like her head might roll soon and that was a silly defense mechanism that she regrets. Give her an opportunity to say sorry and make it right. She might want to boast your professionalism next time in front of the CCO to catch up for her mistake.
If no one explains it to her, she will continue doing that to you, and everyone else, long after you will be gone.
But also yes she doesn’t look like the type of leader you want to be around. Maybe you can influence her. I’ve received a lot of favors from “ennemies” I ended up being kind to. Karma.
Or, leave if it doesn’t work out.
Don't focus on feelings. Focus on business. Set a meeting to clear up the issues.
Your boss threw a partner under the bus???
There has been a lot of title inflation. At one time, teams reported to a CD. And the CD reported to an ECD. Now teams of CDs report to teams of ECDs who report to Co-CCOs. I don’t blame @SC1 for being surprised.
Why is this business so shitty?! Why does it need to be this way?
Who says the CD boss is a woman?
What a show!
Ugh, that is awful! There is probably something political happening and you’re caught in the middle. Ask your boss what’s going on. (S)he might not tell you exactly but listen carefully and you might figure it out. If you can figure out how make your boss look good, you’ll come out of this OK.
Welcome to the show!
Ha, been in the show for more than 20 years 😁...despite stuff like this happening.
Let me be honest: I fucking hate conflict. Especially office shit conflict. Oh wait, that’s the other Bowl thread on “share your greatest weakness.” Anyway, I personally don’t mind if someone who works for/with me says calls me on a foul—either I deserve/can learn from it or I don’t see it the same way. Either way we clear the air. Of course, not everyone has that perspective; typically, the more insecure the person is (for reasons legit or otherwise), the less open they will be to this stuff. So, since nobody but you can make that call I suggest you return to what’s really important here—which happens to be you. You, as in can you suck it up to stay upbeat and positive, while it fades into memory? You, as in your sense of whether this is an isolated incident or a trending pattern that needs to be addressed? And most important, you as in what are your objectives in following either the path of leave it be or go head on? By the way, time is your great ally in these things since a little distance does wonders for objectivity. Not to mention it puts you in the right emotional headspace if you do choose to tackle said bullshit by the horns. Not knowing your problem person, I wouldn’t venture to say what that’s likely to be—although my experience is that if you’re able to say “I’d like to learn from this” without gagging, you’ll do better than otherwise.
Obligatory caveat: your actual asshole may vary, and I, too have management mistakes where I’d dearly love a long ago do-over.
