I know this isn't the same but the doctor saw high alphafeto protein in my tests which can be indicative of neural tube defects but it turned out to be nothing. My daughter is now 3 years old and super healthy. I just wanted to say hang in there and don't jump to conclusions even though it's so easy to freak out (I certainly did). The scans and tests can sometimes just be wrong, and spotting and cramps during pregnancy can be normal. Hang in there, mama!

I’m sorry OP, I hope everything is fine and that you have answers soon. Good luck!

NIPT is so much more reliable than the NT scan, you should feel reassured by it.

I’m so sorry to hear this. I can look at more stats, but I believe Trisomies 22 and 16 are more likely to result in first tri miscarriages. I am so sorry you are dealing with this. I hope you get more info soon; I’ll be thinking about you.

Or do they nap in a pack n play etc. Also, do you put them in the snoo once they have fallen asleep (in your arms while feeding etc) or can one put their fussy baby in the snoo for it to work its magic? Curious what other people's parental leave looks like for companies of a similar size and industry. We are about 150 employees in the CPG (beverage) space. We want to improve/expand our paid leave. How much paid time do you give your employees? Do you give the same amount for the primary and secondary caregiver? Please include your company size and industry.

Just found out my mother is dying from cancer and does not have much longer to live. I took a week of PTO to help my dad. I can’t afford to take leave and my family thinks I should continue working. Has anyone gone through the same? How did it impact you? I told my team and they’re supportive, but I’m at a loss about how this will impact me professionally.

I’m curious to hear from people at other firms what is offered in terms of part time work or alternative work options for people that don’t really care about making partner and might want to work part time. I just had my second child and want to ask to come back from maternity leave on a part time basis but our firm doesn’t seem to have anything in place right now. If your firm offers this, what’s the billable requirement, how much of a pay cut is it, and do you still get benefits? Thanks!
