Went through 4 interviews, panel with presentation/case study with mental health startup that has nothing but rave reviews for me. Apparently no TA team until after I was offered something 20K+ less than I make now. Head of new TA team said they’ll work with me to find a position that fits - the process I went through was “grossly mishandled”. Keep telling me that not even managers make what I’m asking for. Asking for 75k min for 30+ caseload. How do I push them on it? is even worth it?
Just to add - I had done all of the ground work myself to get these interviews. Connected with directors on different teams who eventually got me an interview. Apparently, according to their new head of talent acquisition, everything went wrong (agreed). He set me up with one of his newer recruiters who promises he’ll work on salary negotiations, but I had linked with an outside recruiter who told me they just got a wildly successful funding round and they have PLENTY of money to pay what I’m asking. Outside recruiter is only for eng and I work in ops, so they can’t help, but did provide that tidbit. I just find it to be total BS that directors and managers aren’t making 75??? Was told by a friend who works there that isn’t true - I no longer want to work on the specific team I applied for, but I still want to work for the company (that team is new and a total mess). Any advice on how I can advocate for myself? Especially when my interviews were, according to the notes left, raving???
