Went through a professional diagnosis at a reputable local hospital and the results came back that I don’t have it as I scored too well on their testing measurements.

Normally one would be relieved, but I have a tough time buying it. It doesn’t explain my lack of focus, persistent daydreaming, zoning out of conversations, subpar short term memory, inability to sit perfectly still for stretches of time.

Do I go seek a second opinion?

Yes.

If I were you, I would seek a second opinion. I’d also maybe try to get meds to alleviate the symptoms (sounds like you exhibit the combo inattentive/hyperactive ADHD) while looking to see if it’s not related to another health issue. Sometimes, there are underlying health conditions that could exacerbate ADHD. Example, I had gut problems and recently discovered I’m gluten-sensitive, so making sure that I took care of my gut minimized a lot of brain fog and inattentiveness.

I have been working with a therapist since January and discovered I have ADHD, which has explained so much for me. I am still learning about it and trying to accept it, but I am really hesitant to even begin thinking about taking meds for it. Maybe it’s denial and I need to get over that mindset of “I can fix this” or that there’s nothing “wrong” with me and that adhd it’s just a phase in my life, but I really am just not there yet. Are there any natural things anyone has found to be helpful?

I forgot to take my medicine today. I realized it once I got into the office. I noticed my brain is extra sluggish and cloudy. So I checked my emergency at-work pills and I forgot to bring more. It would take over an hour to go home for meds and come back to work. I hate getting in these situations trying to figure out if I just stick it out at work, drive home and back to work, or call it a lost day and go home and back to sleep. It’s so frustrating that one change in routine can ruin the day.
